Tipper Truck Hire
Tipper trucks are used to transport loose material for construction, material such as gravel, sand and dirt. Large scale tipper trucks are generally used in Australia for off-road construction sites only, although there are a range of smaller tipper trucks that are able to be used for smaller projects such as home landscaping.
The standard tipper truck uses an open-box bed, hydraulically operated, which allows the contents of the tipper truck to be dropped on the ground, ideal for construction sites when massive amounts of material need to be transported.
There are several types of tipper trucks depending on the size and type of job you are working on. These are Standard tipper truck, Articulated tipper truck, Transfer tipper truck, Superdump truck, Semi trailer tipper trucks, Double and triple trailer tipper trucks, Side tipper trucks and Off-road tipper trucks.
There are a numbers of dangers when using a tipper truck, especially if you have hired one and are not familiar with the controls and size. Dangers include collisions, over tipping if you dump on an uneven surface and reversing accidents. When reversing a tipper truck there are mirrors and back up alarms in place to offer assistance but it is generally recommended that you have a spotter in place to guide.
There are a great number of companies in Australia that offer hiring services for tipper trucks for either daily use or long term projects. If you have not used any of this equipment before, then it is wise to ask the hiring company if they offer and tutorials or training with the hiring contract.
